He lost his position and ran on strongly once clear for 0.6 length 2nd over 1350m at Strathalbyn on 17 November where he was unlucky not to have won, then kept coming for a 0.3 length win over 1600m at Strathalbyn on 28 November. Clearly likes this track and should win again.

Carbone (Strathalbyn Race 6 No. 4):
This seven-year-old Husson gelding trained by Peter Moody has eight wins and 10 places from 48 starts. He came from last to make good ground in the straight before jarring up when 3.6 lengths 5th over 1350m at Strathalbyn on 28 November, then made some ground late for 3.9 lengths 6th over 1400m at Balaklava on 8 December. Gets the blinkers on and is on a seven day back-up. A nice each-way chance.

This four-year-old Hinchinbrook mare is the early favourite in this BM 54 handicap over 1200m. He just battled on the rails for 4.4 lengths 7th at Morphettville on 18 September, then made some ground from 9th to finish 3.6 lengths 7th over 1600m at Morphettville on 9 October.Returns from a let-up and is having his first starts for his new trainer Andrew Clarken. Prefer to see.
