Strike Award | (Gawler Race 3 No. 7)

The son of Shamus Award heads into this contest second-up on the back of a two-length fifth placing to Queman at Morphettville.  You could see late in the piece he got a bit tired being first-up and he shifted in a touch in the straight, which is why the addition of blinkers here is going to be ideal for him. The speed is moderate, so he should be able to lead or box-seat from the barrier and the blinkers should get him to settle nicely, which will work nicely if he is able to control the race. Up to 1500m is the query but again, this is where the blinkers come into it and with even luck, he should be strong in the finish.

Current Price: $4.60

Lights of Broadway | (Gawler Race 1 No.12)

This daughter of Rebel Raider had a couple of issues in her 2.8 length defeat back in sixth. She was checked around the 1000m mark and began to over-race as well which didn’t play into her hands late in the race. This is a highly winnable maiden race with the pace being moderate to fast and she is drawn nicely in barrier five, so hopefully, she can sit a touch closer in the run. She should show nice improvement here second-up and I think she will be fighting out the finish.

Current Price: $8.00

Castle Of Kings | (Gawler Race 8 No.2)

Happy to take on this son of Castledale due to the price. He is coming into this race first up with a solid weight over 1200m, and I truly think he is more suited to a touch further. The benefit for him is his early pace but he may be wanting here first-up after 221 days off.

Lay Price: $2.00

Horse Racing Tips: NSW Monday 29th April 2024

Key Comments The rail is true. The best bet flies on this track and is weighted superbly. Best Bet Bedouin Bear (Goulburn Race 1 No. 1) Flies here with 6 placings ( and 3 wins ) from 10 attempts. Superbly weighted after the claim and comes into this with a big chance. Slightly awkward draw but will be very hard to beat with even luck. Check odds on SmartB Analyst: Bhakti Dave Each Way

Our Pingrup Horse Racing Tips for Saturday’s meeting. Key Comments The annual Pingrup race day is one of those events you need to attend in person one year. The track is Good and the shiny new running rail is in the true position. The feature is the $30,000 Murray Reid Memorial Pingrup Cup over 1660m (race 5) where last year's winner Oddoneout returns to defend his title. There's also a yabby race after the last but we have no tips for that! Best Bet

Our Ascot Horse Racing Tips for Saturday’s meeting. Key Comments The track is a Good 4 and the rail is +3 metres for the entire circuit. The feature races are the $125,000 Supremacy Stakes (race 7) and the $125,000 Grandstand Cup (race 8). Best Bet Boots Like Bruce (Ascot Race 4 No. 1) He's going for a hat-trick after winning 2 in a row at Bunbury - the latest by 3 lengths. Last start he jumped straight to the front from the inside barrier
