This four-year-old Scissor Kick gelding trained by Phillip Stokes has two wins and one place from nine starts. He was slowly away and six deep at the turn where he chased steadily for 4.5 lengths 8th over 1415m at Sale on 25 July, then he was freshened for 12 weeks where he had heavy contact at the start and was always well back for 4.6 lengths 10th over 1400m at Morphettville Parks on 23 October. Expected to improve second-up and is a leading contender here.

This six-year-old Skilled gelding trained by Shayne Cahill has two wins and nine places from 28 starts. He peeled wide and battled evenly in the straight for 3 lengths 5th over 1350m at Strathalbyn on 26 May, then battled in the straight for 7.4 lengths 6th over 1200m at Port Augusta on 20 June. Resumes here from a 19 week spell and has raced at Gawler four times for two places. Looks worth an each-way wager.

Rizski (Gawler Race 4 No. 5):
This six-year-old Zariz gelding trained by Ken Sweeney is the early favourite in this BM 60 Handicap over 1100m. He battled away evenly without ever threatening when 3.2 lengths 7th over 1200m at Norphettville on 9 October, then worked home nicely for 1.9 lengths 4th over 1100m at Morphettville on 16 October. With only four wins from 48 starts I am prepared to risk him here.
