Our Morphettville Horse Racing Tips for Boxing Day.
Chosen Blonde (Morphettville Race 4 No. 2)
This is the weakest race this four-year-old Choisir mare trained by Chris Bieg has contested this campaign. She took over at the 200m and was gathered in late for 0.6 length 3rd over 1000m at Morphettville Parks on 20 December, then chased hard through the line for 1.2 lengths 5th in a BM78 over 1100m at Flemington on 11 December. Drops back to a BM 60 handicap here and looks the leading contender.

Each Way
Fighter (Morphettville Race 8 No. 3):
This five-year-old Lord Kanaloa gelding trained by Tony & Calvin McEvoy has three wins and seven places from 12 starts. He angled clear at the top of the straight and hit the lead at the 100m and held on for a 0.4 length win over 1800m at Murray Bridge on 5 December, then came from the back half of the field to reach the lead 50m from home and win by 0.9 length over 2100m at Gawler on 18 December. Drawn the rails and looks a great each-way chance.

Best Lay
Heyington Station (Morphettville Race 9 No. 6):
This five-year-old Star Witness gelding trained by Will Clarken is the early favourite in this BM 72 Handicap over 1200m. At the end of last campaign he got to a narrow lead before being headed at the 100m and boxing on solidly for 0.6 length 4th over 1250m at Morphettville Parks on 13 February then was spelled for 42 weeks. He resumed for 2.6 length 4th over 1000m at Morphettville Parks on 4 December, where he ran on strongly from a clear last. Has drawn very wide and I’m prepared to risk him here.

Horse Racing Tips : VIC Sunday 18th February 2024
Our Sale Tips for Sunday's meeting. Key Comments The rail is out 4 metres. The best bet looks well placed in the fourth race of the day off the back of a strong last start second. Best Bet Sassy Boom (Sale Race 4 No. 3) Bounced back to form last run with a strong second. Maps very well from barrier 5 and there isn't much depth to this race. Egan steers and the price looks good. $2.40
