I truly think this bloke should be the favourite over Marine One. He finished within a length of the talent Extreme Warrior last start and before that he was third to September Run in the Group 1 William Reid at Moonee Valley. He has the runs on the board, is drawn ideally from the inside barrier and maps to be nice and handy. The blinkers go on for the first time which is the key here, and I think he will be hard to beat. Marine One is at a price where we can back both and double our chances of profit. He is first-up following a successful preparation and he retains Jamie Kah in the saddle which is ideal. I think this is a lead-up for something bigger like a Goodwood, so I expect a solid run regardless.

This girl is first-up from 119 days on the sideline and has to take on the older horses on a big race day. She has drawn the inside in a race that has a lot of pace, so she will likely get buried back on the rail and she will need a lot of luck. Willing to go against her at the price.
