Our Murray Bridge Horse Racing Tips for the weekend.
Quietly Discreet (Murray Bridge Race 3 No. 8)
This five-year-old Exceed And Excel mare trained by Dan Clarken & Oopy MacGillivray has five wins and a place from 14 starts. At the end of last campaign she led narrowly on a strong tempo before dropping right out late for 15 lengths 6th over 1200m at Morphettville Parks, then was spelled for 17 weeks. She resumed with a 1.7 length win over 1000m at Morphettville Parks on 23 July and will appreciate the cut in the ground. Looks a big chance.

Stern Idol (Murray Bridge Race 2 No. 5)
This five-year-old Raven’s Pass gelding trained by Ciaron Maher & David Eustace has four wins from 16 starts and has been going extremely well in hurdle races. He got to a big lead and bolted in for a 27 length win in a hurdle race over 3200m at Warrnambool on 3 July, then ran a similar race for a 15 length hurdle win over 3200m at Pakenham on 17 July. Going for a hat-trick and looks a great each-way chance on the flat.

Rapid Raiser (Murray Bridge Race 6 No. 4)
This seven-year-old Rebel Raider gelding is the early favourite in this BM 60 handicap over 1800m. He peeled out wide from the back half of the field and moved up to finish 2.9 lengths 3rd over 2100m at Gawler on 9 July, then took over at the 250m but was grabbed late for 0.2 length 2nd over 2000m at Mildura on 22 July. Has had three wins at this track but has never won beyond 1600m so I an prepared to risk him.
