This Red Element gelding from Bordertown has had four wins from nine races this campaign and has won twice at this track. He won by 3.1 lengths over 1550m at Morphettville Parks on 1 August which was his fourth win in a row, then he just missed when 0.1 length 2nd over 1600m at Morphettville on 15 August. He will be very hard to beat.

Lady Bethany (Morphettville Parks Race 5 No. 2):
This six-year-old mare has won two from two at this track and distance. At the end of last campaign she jumped awkwardly, raced ungenerously and was never really in the race when 5.1 lengths 10th over 1400m at Morphettville Parks on 11 April. She resumed for 2.1 lengths 5th over 1200m at Morphettville on 22 August where the rider said she didn’t handle the slow track conditions. Expect her to improve here and she is worth an each-way bet.

This Foxwedge gelding is the early favourite in this BM 64 handicap for 4YO and upwards over 1000m. He settled way back and just plugged along for 7.4 lengths 8th in the Group 2 Autumn Stakes over 1400m at Caulfield on 8 February, then battled away for 3 lengths 4th over 1400m at Morphettville Parks on 22 February. He resumes here after 28 weeks and has placed in all three of his first-up runs without winning. I don’t think that will change
