Our Morphettville Horse Racing Tips for the weekend. The feature is the Spring Stakes (race 6).
Motell (Morphettville Race 5 No. 5)
This five-year-old Uncle Mo gelding trained by Jon O’Connor has four wins and seven places from 19 starts. He ran on from the back of the field for 3rd on a heavy track over 1550m at Morphettville Parks on 17 July, then came from near last to come clear in the final 100m and win by 2.3 lengths over 1600m at Morphettville on heavy going on 31 July. Rates highly with Jason Holder aboard and looks well-placed to win again.

Clap (Morphettville Race 7 No. 2):
This four-year-old Night Of Thunder gelding trained by Richard & Chantelle Jolly has two wins and one place from six starts. He got to the lead early on the heavy track and kept going for a narrow win over 1250m at Morphettville Parks on 17 July, then led narrowly going for home but weakened out late for 2.4 lengths 4th over 1500m at Morphettville on 31 July. He returns to a shorter trip and looks a great each-way chance.

Kong (Morphettville Race 9 No. 1):
This four-year-old Jungle Ruler gelding trained by Ryan Balfour has won one of his three starts and is the early favourite in this BM 60 handicap over 1100m. He came from near last for a 1.2 length win on a heavy track over 1200m at Kilmore on 25 March then was spelled. When resuming he made some ground from well back to finish 5.5 lengths 6th in the Listed Lightning Stakes over 1050m at Morphettville on 31 July. With several last-start winners in this race he will find it challenging.
