This five-year-old Pierro gelding has three wins and seven places from 16 starts. He came from well back and made some ground without threatening for 4.3 lengths 4th over 1200m at Eagle Farm on 6 February, then took over at the 200m and went strongly on the soft track to win by 3.8 lengths over 1400m at Sunshine Coast on 19 February. Now has two wins from three starts this preparation and looks the goods again.

Bundyandcoke (Doomben Race 6 No. 1):
This three-year-old Shamus Award gelding has one win and two places from four starts. He jumped awkwardly and over-raced then battled on for 4.25 lengths 7th over 1400m at Eagle Farm on 6 February, then swooped at the 150m and raced away for a 2 length win over 1200m at Doomben on a heavy track on 18 February. Now he has broken his maiden status he looks worth an each-way bet.

Best Lay
The Move (Doomben Race 3 No. 2):
This four-year-old Hinchinbrook gelding trained by Tony Gollan is the early favourite in this Class 3 handicap over 1050m. He resumed from a 17 week spell with a huge 6.3 length win over 1100m at Ipswich on 3 September, then led at the home turn but faded for 4.7 lengths 5th on a soft track over 1200m at Gold Coast on 19 September. This field has more depth and he offers no value.
