This four-year-old Better Than Ready mare trained by Steven O’Dea & Matthew Hoysted has two wins and five places from 13 starts. She only battled to finish 5.3 lengths 6th in the Listed Princess Stakes over 1630m at Doomben on 24 April, then was spelled for 19 weeks. She resumed for 1.75 lengths 2nd over 1000m at Eagle Farm on 8 September. Should race on the speed and rates highly here.

Daltoro (Ipswich Race 7 No. 1):
This five-year-old Toronado gelding has had three wins and seven places from 13 starts. When resuming from a 23 week spell he was steadied off heels then finished 5.8 lengths 7th over 1007m at Taree on 27 August. Last start he fought on near the rail for 0.9 length 3rd over 1000m at Eagle Farm on 17 September. Should run fitter for two previous outings and is worth an each-way bet.

Karlstad (Ipswich Race 3 No. 8):
This four-year-old Sacred Falls gelding trained by Chris Waller is the early favourite in this BM 68 handicap over 1690m. When resuming from a 15 week break he only battled out wide for 4.1 lengths 8th over 1350m at Doomben on 1 September, then led narrowly into the straight but faded late for 2 lengths 4th over 1800m at Eagle Farm on 17 September. Others offer better value.
