This two-year-old Snitzel colt trained by Natalie McCall has one win and one place from five starts. Resuming after 15 weeks he was galloped on at the start and finished 6.25 lengths 6th over 1110m at Doomben on 16 June where he was vetted after and had lacerations to both hind legs and lost a plate, then he began well, hit the front at the 150m and drew away for a 2.5 length win over 1200m at Rockhampton on 9 July. Has drawn the rails and can win again.

Emergent (Doomben Race 5 No. 1):
This five-year-old Sebring gelding trained by Chris Anderson has had one win and three places from eight starts. He is having his first start for this trainer and hasn’t raced for over a year. His last two starts were 2.8 lengths 6th over 1600m at Warwick Farm on 28 Aug 2019, then he ran 3rd over 1350m at Wyong on 18 June 2020. He has drawn the inside barrier and has shown enough ability to be worth an each-way wager.

Best Lay
Morethannumberone (Doomben Race 2 No. 5):
This four-year-old More Than Ready gelding trained by Michael Costa has two wins and four places from 16 starts and is the early favourite in this Class 3 handicap over 1200m. At the end of last campaign he finished 0.8 length 2nd over 1400m at Kembla Grange on 9 January, then resumed after 27 weeks for a 1.62 length win over 1100m at Grafton on 11 July, where he had the best final 100m. This is a tougher race with several promising types in it, and he doesn’t represent value at the current price.
