This four-year-old Mossman gelding trained by Michael Costa has three wins and two places from five starts. When resuming from a 33 week spell he hit the line well for 0.6 lengths 3rd over 1400m at Sunshine Coast on 8 August, then took over at the 200m and bolted in for a five length win over 1200m at Gold Coast on 9 October. Rates highly and will be hard to beat.

This five-year-old Deep Field gelding trained by Darryl Hansen has three wins and six places from 29 starts. He led into the straight before tiring to finish 2.1 lengths 5th over 1300m at Sunshine Coast on 10 October, then was slowly away before going forward then was headed at the 100mfor 1.4 lengths 4th over 1100m at Ipswich on 20 October. Blinkers go back on and he is on a seven day back-up. Looks a good each-way chance.

Wheels (Ipswich Race 5 No. 4):
This five-year-old Shocking mare trained by David Vandyke is the early favourite in this Class 1 handicap over 1666m. When resuming from a 38 week spell she ran on well for 0.5 length 2nd over 1350m at Ipswich on 25 August, then tired late for 4.1 lengths 9th over 1600m at Sunshine Coast on 19 September. Other runners offer better value.
