Isis Carmella (Sunshine Coast Race 1 No. 2)
With five wins and two places from her seven starts, this three-year-old Bel Esprit filly trained by Kevin Miller at Rockhampton has been a star in North Queensland. She led throughout for a 2.5 length win over 1300m at Mackay on 7 September for her 3rd consecutive win then had an 11 week let-up, then she bolted in for a 3.3 length win over 1100m at Mackay on 26 November. This is her toughest test but she has been winning by big margins and looks up to it.

Capri Of Tuffy (Sunshine Coast Race 8 No. 9):
This five-year-old Zoffany mare trained by Robert Heathcote has two wins and ten places from 23 starts. She fought on near the rails for 0.5 length 2nd over 1100m at Sunshine Coast on 1 December, then took over at the 150m for an easy 2.3 length win over 1350m at Ipswich on 15 December. In fine form and on a seven day back-up she looks a strong each-way chance here.

Back When (Sunshine Coast Race 2 No. 2):
This four-year-old Unusual Suspect gelding trained by Garnett Taylor at the Sunshine Coast is the early favourite in this Class 1 handicap over 1000m. He ran 0.2 length 2nd over 1400m at Sunshine Coast on 15 May, then got well back and didn’t run on for 7.8 lengths 11th over 1350m at Doomben on 15 May. Resumes here from a 31 week spell and prefer to see.

Best Bet Doncic (Bendigo Race 4 No. 4) Nommed for Wednesday as well so may not be racing here. Looked to be full of running in a recent trial and found no room on debut. Drawn to find clean air here and strikes the right race. $8.50

The rail is in the true position. Bullock has been riding in terrific form and comes up with a strong card again. He looks the jockey to follow on a card full of favourites that are hard to beat. Best Bet Sardonyx (Scone Race 2 No.3 ) A key scratching comes out and leaves Sardonyx very hard to beat. Maps well, Bullock steers and gets the right race here. Best Bet Dale (Newcastle Race 6 No. 2) No prizes for finding this runner but put in a solid effort on debut and drops miles in grade. Best Bet Deni Gal (Nowra Race 7 No. 4) None of these win out of turn but Deni Gal has good claims with a superb record at the track and a good record with Guymer steering. He has won twice from 6 goes aboard which is a very good sign given the horse is 3 wins from 22 starts. Hard to beat and maps
