This four-year-old Smart Missile gelding trained by David Vandyke has two wins and three places from five starts. He worked hard for a 0.2 length Maiden Handicap win over 1300m at Sunshine Coast on 12 September, then took over coming into the straight and went on for an easy 3 length Class 1 win over 1400m at Gold Coast on 2 October. Looking for a hat-trick and should be hard to beat.

Divine Eleven (Ipswich Race 5 No. 6):
This five-year-old Redoute’s Choice gelding trained by Matthew Dunn has had three wins and four places from 19 starts. He began well but winded late to finish 7.2 lengths 5th over 1800m at Eagle Farm on 4 September, then chased steadily to finish 3 lengths 4th on the Lismore Cup over 2110m on 23 September. Returns to a shorter trip and looks a good each-way chance.

Nicci’s Spirit (Ipswich Race 4 No. 2):
This four-year-old Nicconi mare trained by Tony Gollan is the early favourite in this Fillies & Mares 0-65 handicap over 1350m. When resuming from a 19 week spell she seemed unsuited by the tempo and finished 6 lengths 8th over 1200m at Gold Coast, then was held up at the 300m before finding a gap at the 100m and running on for a narrow win over 1300m at Sunshine Coast on 24 September. There are some handy mares in this race and others offer better value.
