Highmaster (Eagle Farm Race 8 No. 6)
This four-year-old Poet’s Voice gelding has had two wins and six places from 12 starts and has placed at both starts this campaign. Resuming after a 20 week spell he came from near last to finish 0.1, 2.3 lengths 3rd over 1400m at Kensington on 10 March, then battled on for 1.5 lengths 2nd behind Blesk over 1600m at Warwick Farm on 31 March. He is having his first start for a new trainer and looks ready to win.

Alignment (Eagle Farm Race 7 No. 3):
This four-year-old Smart Missile mare has one win and five places from her eight starts. She kept coming steadily for 2.25, 0.5 lengths 3rd over 1400m at Beaudesert on 3 May, then resumed after 21 weeks for 1.5 lengths 2nd over 1200m at Gold Coast on 3 October. Starting here after 27 weeks she won a Gold Coast trial by 10 lengths on 30 March and looks a good each-way bet again.

Best Lay
Rations (Eagle Farm Race 5 No. 9):
This three-year-old Outreach filly trained by Barry Baldwin is the early favourite in this 3YO maiden handicap over 1600m. She ran on for 1.25 lengths 2nd over 1350m at Doomben on 31 March, then started a short-priced favourite but finished 3.3 lengths 2nd over 1600m at Sunshine Coast on 11 April. She is on a three day back-up here but offers no value.
