This four-year-old gelding has had three starts for one win. He made some ground for 3.7 lengths 6th over 1200m at Ipswich on 13 April, then resumed after 35 weeks for a 5.8 length win over 1100m at Mackay on 19 December. That was a good win and with Justin Stanley retaining the ride and a good barrier, he looks the one to beat.

Belzu (Rockhampton Race 7 No. 5):
This five-year-old Bel Esprit gelding has two wins at this track and distance combination. He finished 1.5, 2 lengths 3rd over 850m at Gladstone on 3 November, then hit the lead at the 250m and kept going for a 1.5 length win over 1050m at Rockhampton on 29 December. He goes up 2 kg from that run but still looks worth an each-way bet.

Lady Lowburn (Rockhampton Race 3 No. 14):
This three-year-old Falvelon filly is the early favourite in this 3YO maiden handicap over 1200m. She tired late for 4.5 lengths 7th over 1100m at Rockhampton on 18 December, then finished 0.2 lengths 2nd over 1200m at Rockhampton on 6 January. She is on a seven-day backup but has been well found in the market.
