This four-year-old Snitzel gelding trained by Kelly Schweida has three wins and one place from 11 starts. He didn’t have the beat of runs but took over at the 100m and won by 1.25 lengths over 1110m at Doomben on 14 July, then fought on near the rail for 0.6 length 4th over 1200m at Doomben on 24 July. Drawn well and goes well here. Should win.

Cheers To All (Doomben Race 8 No. 7):
This five-year-old Love Conquers All gelding trained by Helen Donnelly has had three wins and four places from 13 starts. When resuming from a 21 week spell he ran on late for 1.2 lengths 3rd over 1400m at Beaudesert on 10 July, then he hit the front at the 150m and held on to win by 0.3 length over 1400m at Sunshine Coast on 25 July. Hasn’t raced at Doomben before, but is worth an each-way wager.

Zawadi (Doomben Race 6 No. 5):
This siz-year-old gelding trained by Paul Jenkins has three wins and a place from 15 starts and is the early favourite in this BM 70 handicap over 2030m. He faded for 5.8 lengths 4th over 1600m at Sunshine Coast on 18 July, then hit the front but was swamped late for 0.3 length 4th over 1815m at Eagle Farm on 31 July. Not sure the extra distance will suit and other runners offer better value.
