This four-year-old Better Than Ready gelding trained by Kelly Schweida has two wins and two places from five starts. He fought hard to just miss for 0.1 length 2nd over 800m at Ipswich on 7 October, then led at the home turn and won by a comfortable 1.5 length margin on a heavy track over 1100m at Gold Coast on 23 October. Rates highly and will be hard to beat.

Bixilon (Ipswich Race 5 No. 3):
This four-year-old Rubick gelding trained by Tina Cotsiopoulos has five places from 10 starts. He got caught in traffic and fought evenly for two lengths 3rd over 1200m at Cranbourne on 12 September, then chased hard the enrire straight for a length 4th over 1206m at Benalla on 26 September. Having his first run for this trainer and looks a good each-way chance.

Best Lay
Donandkim (Ipswich Race 6 No. 3):
This five-year-old Smart Missile gelding trained by Tina Cotsiopoulos is the early favourite in this BM 65 handicap over 1680m. He chased hard for 2.2 lengths 2nd over 1800m at Gold Coast on 9 October, then battled on evenly for 2.2 lengths 6th over 1600m at Sunshine Coast on 24 October. Doesn’t win out of turn, with three wins from 29 starts, and I’m prepared to risk him here.
