This Shooting To Win gelding has two wins and two places from four starts. He played up and began only fairly, was bumped and then held up before running on for 2 lengths 2nd over 1050m at Doomben on 5 September, then hit the front at the 250m and won by a length over 1200m at Gold Coast on 19 September. He won a trial at Doomben on 1 December and looks ready to win again.

Paredo (Doomben Race 9 No. 9):
This Better Than Ready filly trained by Toby Edmonds has two wins and a place from five starts, and both of the wins have been at this distance. She resumed from a 23 week spell with a 4 length win over 1200m in a maiden handicap at Ipswich on 14 October, then ran down the leader for a 0.5 length win in a 3YO Fillies handicap over 1200m at Doomben on 24 October. She rates highly with Robbie Fradd riding and is an excellent each-way bet.

Subterranean (Doomben Race 1 No. 5):
This Rebel Dane colt trained by Matthew Dunn is the early favourite in this 2YO Quality Handicap over 1200m. He has only had one start where he jumped awkwardly and was bumped but fought on for 0.1, 0.5 lengths 3rd over 1000m at Sunshine Coast on 21 November. There are three runners in the race who have already had a win, so he doesn’t look like value.
