This two-year-old Worthy Cause filly trained by Michael Nolan at Toowoomba has four wins and two places from six starts. She began well and led narrowly and despite hanging in she drew away late for a 1.3 length win over 1350m at Ipswich on 2 July, then she hit the front and hung in the final 300m but held on for a 0.5 length win over 1350m at Doomben on 10 July. Looking for a hat-trick here and the 3kg claim will help. Leading contender.

Honorable Spirit (Doomben Race 5 No. 8):
This four-year-old Charm Spirit gelding trained by John Smerdon has four wins and four places from 19 starts. He fought hard but was no match in the final 125m and finished, 4.3 lengths 3rd over 1650m at Toowoomba on 19 June, then took over in the straight and bolted in for a 3 length win over 1800m at the Gold Coast on 17 July. On a seven day back-up and with a 3kg claim looks a good each-way chance here.

East Asia (Doomben Race 8 No. 3):
This four-year-old Swiss Ace mare is the early favourite in this Fillies & Mares Class 6 Handicap over 1350m. She settled well back in the field then was held-up at the 200m but ran down the leader when clear for a 0.4 length win over 1350m at Doomben on 23 June. Last start she reared as the gates opened and was slowly away but ran on well for a 0.5 length win over 1400m at Sunshine Coast on 11 July. She is up against tougher opposition here and is up in weight.
