This four-year-old Spirit Of Boom mare trained by Barry Lockwood at Eagle Farm has three wins and a place from five starts. She dashed ahead at the 200m and won by a length over 1000m at Sunshine Coast on 13 September, then took over at the 100m and drew away for an easy 1.3 length win over 1000m at Eagle Farm on 23 September. Resumes after 41 weeks and ran 2nd in a Doomben trial. Can win first-up.

Mahussey (Doomben Race 6 No. 12):
This five-year-old Mahisara mare mare trained by Troy Pascoe at Toowoomba has five wins and five places from 22 starts. She was held up on the turn and boxed on steadily when clear for 4.1 lengths 4th over 1640m at Toowoomba on 22 May, then ran on from well back in the field for a length 2nd over 1300m at Gold Coast on 26 June. Has won twice at this distance and is worth an each-way bet.

Good Chat (Doomben Race 5 No. 5):
This three-year-old All Too Hard gelding is the early favourite in this Class 3 Handicap over 1200m. He hit the front but was no match for the winner but spaced the rest when 1.75 lengths 2nd over 1200m at Doomben on 23 January, then fought hard to just miss when a narrow 2nd over 1350m at Doomben on 13 February. Resumes here after 21 weeks and is yet to win at this track after 4 attempts. Other runners offer better value.
