Alligator Blood (Gold Coast Race 7 No. 1)
This five-year-old All Too Hard gelding trained by Billy Healey has nine wins and three places from 15 starts and was the winner of the 2020 Group 1 Australian Guineas at Flemington. His last two runs were a close 2nd in the 2020 Silver Eagle over 1300m then he winded badly on a heavy track for 15th in the 2020 Golden Eagle. He hasn’t raced for 42 weeks and is having his first start for a new trainer. He won a trial at this track and should be hard to beat

Contessa (Gold Coast Race 8 No. 9):
This four-year-old Headwater mare has two wins and three places from 10 starts. At the end of last campaign she didn’t handle the heavy track and dropped out for 10.3 lengths 6th over 1400m at Gold Coast on 27 March, then was spelled. She resumed with a length win over 1300m at Eagle Farm on 4 August, and with her good draw in barrier 2 she looks a nice each-way bet.

Indian Dreamer (Gold Coast Race 3 No. 1):
This five-year-old Sepoy gelding trained by Toby & Trent Edmonds is the early favourite in this Class 3 handicap over 1800m. He rsumed for 5.9 lengths 9th over 1400m at Eagle Farm on 31 July, then came from well back for 1.85 lengths 4th over 1500m at Eagle Farm on 14 August. Hasn’t won in four previous visits to this track, and other runners offer better value.
