This four-year-old American Pharoah gelding is a stayer in the making. He finished 5th over 1650m at Doomben on 27 July, then was 0.9 lengths 3rd over 1700m at this track on 20 August. He started favourite then, is fitter and on a six day back-up he should be hard to beat.

Wisdom Of Water (Gold Coast Race 8 No. 4)
One of two runners for trainer Annabel Neasham in the Listed Goldmarket Handicap. He ran 3rd in this race in May 2021 (it was run twice in 2021), resumes from a 28 week spell, loves this track and goes well first-up. A great each-way chance.

Best Lay
Rubamos (Gold Coast Race 9 No. 4)
This five-year-old I Am Invincible gelding trained by Chris Waller is the early favourite in this BM 75 Handicap over 1350m and is on a six day back-up. He finished 2.4 lengths 3rd over 1350m at Doomben on 6 August, then started favourite when 5.2 lengths 8th over 1350m at Doomben on 20 August. Others have better lead-up form and I’m prepared to risk him.
