Petulant (Warwick Farm Race 6 No. 10)
This three-year-old Starspangledbanner filly has two wins and a 2nd from her three starts. She was a length winner of a 1000m maiden plate at Wyong on a heavy track on 9 December then was spelled for 6 weeks. She resumed with a 2.4 length win over 1100m at Wyong on soft going on 23 January. Resumes here from an 18 week spell and won a recent Rosehill trial. Talented filly who will be tough to beat.

Baltic Coast (Warwick Farm Race 7 No. 5)
This four-year-old New Approach gelding has two wins and two 2nds from four starts. His last two starts were both on heavy tracks where he won by 2.9 lengths over 1400m at Newcastle on 9 April, then won by 0.2 length over 1600m at Scone on 13 May. This grey horse seems to relish the heavy conditions and looks a great each-way bet.

Best Lay
Kibou (Warwick Farm Race 10 No. 5)
This Maurice gelding from the Gai Waterhouse & Adrian Bott stable is the early favourite in this 2YO Maiden Handicap over 1100m. At his only start he finished 4.8 lengths 9th in the Group 3 Breeders’ Plate over 1000m at Randwick after being hampered and pulling up shin sore on 2 October. He resumes here from a 34 week break and has won two recent trials. With many unraced horses in the field, some of whom have also trialled well, it is a bit of a lottery and I’m prepared to risk him.
