Stray (Randwick-Kensington Race 2 No.4)
I really like this Thunder Fantasy filly despite the fact she hasn’t finished in the top 3 in any of her five race starts. In her first race start at the end of 2020, she was only 2.9 lengths off Paulele whilst doing a lot of things wrong. When she came back for her second preparation, she was absolutely luckless behind superstar Profondo, and she only went down by 1.9 lengths back in fourth, despite being blocked in the straight and not getting clear until the final 150m or so.
She then stepped up to the Dulcify and Gloaming where she was no match, but drawing wide and having to go back didn’t help. She was no match in the Flight Stakes but still beat home talent and got within three lengths of Startantes and Swift Witness. She has had just one trial in preparation for this, which I thought was a nice piece of work. She is drawn well, so expect her to sit no worse than midfield in the run before peeling off their backs in the straight.

He’s Super Lucky (Randwick-Kensington Race 6 No.3)
This bloke is a 1000m specialist and gets a few nice favours in this one. He was really good first-up over 1000m behind the talented Dragonstone and the speedy Satin Ribbons, he arguably should have finished a lot closer if he wasn’t held up at the top of the straight. Second-up at Warwick Farm was a forgive run as he was wide without cover, and third-up he was hitting the line well in Midway grade. I am putting a line through the last start as I don’t think he is a 1200m horse, especially at Warwick Farm.
He comes back to 1000m, fifth run this preparation, and gets 3kg off for Cejay Graham, which may prove vital towards the end of this race. The good track suits and there is plenty of speed here, so he will have no worries getting a spot in the second half of the field, he just needs to stay with them and he is a chance.

Way To The Stars (Randwick-Kensington Race 6 No.7)
There is no doubting that he was impressive at Gosford in much weaker grade but then he was well backed at Canterbury and he put in a very ordinary performance with no excuses. There is a lot of pace in this 1000m event which will not suit him and I think he is a big chance to be trapped wide throughout. Happy to risk.
