Lobs into a nice spot from the draw and very hard to go past the jockey trainer combination.

Vesuvio (Goulburn Race 6 No. 13)
Vesuvio will need luck again from the tricky draw but you’d be hard-pressed to find better form for a maiden than what it has. Albeit beaten by a fair margin, was 9 lengths off group 1 winner Never Been Kissed. It also has a 4 length loss to Devil’s Throat on the resume. Well placed against these.

Have Mercy (Goulburn Race 6 No. 8)
Have Mercy has opened up favourite off the back of a convincing trial however it came just over a week after its 7 and a half-length loss in maiden grade. I’m not convinced Have Mercy has brought anything to follow yet race day and its debut run came behind Mars Mission in a race where the form has struggled to hold up. Will require luck from barrier 10, untested on the heavy and coming off a flashy trial just a week after a poor run doesn’t show much of a betting proposition at the current $5.50.
