This is the opening meeting of the 2023/24 Hong Kong racing season. The rail will be in the A position for the entire circuit and with plenty of rain over the weekend we can expect a yielding surface.
The first race is at 12.25pm Hong Kong time which is 2.25pm AEST.

This 4YO gelding was an ultra-impressive winner at his 2nd start to win over 1200m at Sha Tin on 25 June before the Hong Kong racing season finished. He has had success trialling and the booking of Zac Purton suggests he will be hard to beat.

This 7YO gelding came from od-field to just miss over 1200m at Sha Tin on 16 July. He ran 2nd in a recent trial and looks a good each-way bet with Zac Purton aboard.
