He came back to the 1400m last start which I thought was a brilliant move by the stable, as that is where I think his ideal distance range sits and unfortunately the leader on the day Silver Express got a picnic upfront, but our bloke still made terrific ground. He is drawn much better to be able to sit closer should Purton want to and the speed should be able to bring him into the race nicely. He is a big chance to bring up win number 3 for the preparation.

This bloke was stuck wide throughout last start but he kept fighting into third. After the race, the trainer got an endoscopic examination of the horse, which revealed that he indeed had a substantial amount of mucus in the horse’s trachea. he had so much against him but still ran a brilliant race against good opposition, surely he gets his chance here today. There isn’t a lot of speed on paper, so again Vincent Ho will need the luck to get him into a nice position. Back to a mile suits and with a kinder run, we should see a massive run once again and hopefully, his first win in Hong Kong.
