I loved this bloke leading into his first-up run after some brilliant trials, but unfortunately, he reared at the start of the race and ended up settling a distance last. To his credit, he came home quite well, running the quickest final 600m and 400m sectionals of the race and seventh (600m) and fourth (400m) sectionals for the entire meeting. He gets a similar set-up here with a good draw, and he is massive overs, especially if last starts issue was a one-off.

Light of Wanshi | (Sha Tin Race 4 No.1)
This bloke was a black booker after his flying finish last start behind Kung Fu Tea where he was held up from the 400m to the 250m mark and also getting his head on the side before shifting out at the 100m. It was massive considering this was first-up and he still managed to run the 17th quickest final 200m of the meeting and the quickest of the race. He is drawn much better than last start and with even luck, should be flying late again.
