Youthful Deal (Sha Tin Race 7 No.6)
The son of Deep Field finished off last season with a nice placing behind Ice Legend over the Sha Tin 1200m, after a nice ride from Zac Purton. He looked the winner in the straight, only to be overrun late and go down by under a length. He has trialed once in the lead-up to this, and it was quite a nice trial under the hands of Purton. He has drawn nicely on race day and maps to get a beautiful run throughout. Hard to beat.

Tuchel (Sha Tin Race 9 No.8)
He was very consistent at the end of last season, finishing off with two wins and two placings over 1400m and 1600m. He has yet to contest over 1400m in this higher class, which is a hidden factor after going close on two occasions over 1600m. Zac Purton has trialed him twice in preparation for this, and both trials were contrasting in effort. He has drawn nicely for race day, had Purton in the reins, and gets the conditions to suit. I will be surprised if he isn’t in the finish.
