Telecom Missile (Sha Tin Race 1 No.6)
The son of Smart Missile ended last preparation with a solid fourth placing on the Sha Tin All-Weather, when having his first start in Class 4. They had to drop back on the day due to the draw, but this bloke loves the dirt and he flew home in some nice sectionals. He gets a much kinder draw in a small field and it’s the first ride back for the Magic Man Joao Moreira, so this could be a tremendous way to say, “I’m Back”. He is a big chance for us to start the card with a winner.

Whizz Kid (Sha Tin Race 9 No.6)
I am taking on the favourite here with a galloper who is nothing but speed. I love the way he finished off last preparation, winning four of his last six whilst placing the other two runs. Although most of his 1000m form has been around the Valley, he does have some tremendous 1000m straight form around the likes of Alcari, Cordyceps Six, and Oriental Smoke. He has been gelded since his last run and has trialled once, which was an acceptable run. Angus Chung will take the ride and he will knock off 4.5kg, which is immense. I expect him to be handles bars down and we will be holding our breath late.
