Enchanting Ibis (Sha Tin Race 9 No.13)

He was fair first up at the Valley when fifth behind Winning Icey before heading to Sha Tin last start where he got well back from the wide draw and hit the line in the fastest ratings of the race, narrowly missing on the line to the outsider King Land whilst beating home some nice horses. He has drawn a lot better this time out but will likely get back again, especially with the immense pace in this race.

De Sousa remains aboard which is brilliant as since coming to Hong Kong he has developed a connection with the horse. Third up here and he should go close. I only have a couple that can win this, and I think he is the best chance, and best on the entire card.

Current Price: $2.90

Next Each Way

Marado (Sha Tin Race 6 No.4)

Despite only winning one start from ten, I reckon this is his chance to win his second. He was just fair first up when he was five lengths back in fifth behind Beauty Tycoon before stepping up to the 1400m last start where he ran around half a length back in third behind One Voice and Perfect Peach. Not all went right in the run either which gives merit to his run. He is third up now and gets the ultimate gear change in Zac Purton aboard. He has drawn nicely in barrier 5 and with the majority of the speed to his outside, I expect him to hold a spot on the rail or just off the rail around sixth or seventh, tailing the hot pace. He is a terrific each-way bet!
