Son Pak Fu (Sha Tin Race 3 No.6)
The son of Fighting Sun ran seventh on debut in July, but it was on a wet track plus he just didn’t race well, laying in throughout the straight and he proved difficult to ride out. Since the season ended he has had one nice trial where he had the cheekpieces removed for blinkers, and he ran like a much more improved horse. He has drawn superbly here, blinkers on and I expect them to go forward as they did in the trial. I reckon he can run a massive race in a weak Class 4.

Starry Night (Sha Tin Race 6 No.9)
Forget his last start at Happy Valley as the horse was found to have had a fever post-race, not to mention it was a wet track. He has had two trials which is ideal and he should be fighting fit, and in the second trial, he trialled without the cheekpieces and the blinkers on, which he will be doing on race day. He has drawn well and maps to lead or sit handy and I think he will be hard to beat with Zac Purton aboard.
