Villa Fionn (Happy Valley Race 6 No.10)
He has been just fair this season so far, but I feel he is ready to break through now. First up he was strangely ridden by the apprentice and despite this, still ran some nice sectionals to finish 5.7 lengths back in ninth. Second up was a lot better, settling in the second half of the field on a back of a nice tempo, before hitting the line well to finish one length off Oriental Smoke and Super Fortune at Sha Tin. He is back up to the 1650m at Happy Valley where he has won over half his races and get Antoine Hamelin back on, who knows him really well. He may still give them a start, so watch for him late. Nothing New is the saver bet as he will be up on the pace and is a terrific chance.

Fortune Triple (Happy Valley Race 2 No.10)
This is a Class 5, which is hard to pick at the best of times, so we are heading toward a double-figure runner whose form isn’t too bad. He was just fair first up over the 1800m before heading to Sha Tin over the 2000m and once again, didn’t get a real chance from the wide gate, settling for a 3.3 length ninth. He now has two runs under his belt and had drawn the best he has this preparation thus far. Although he has only won one race from 22 starts, I am willing to take the risk on him to breakthrough for the second time. Owners Star looks a nice saver for those who want some cover.
