Hero Star (Happy Valley Race 4 No.5)
First up this bloke was good when running a length fourth to Winning Icey before running a tight second to Gallant Waking over this track and distance last time out. They managed to beat the rest of the field by around three lengths, and he looks to get a similar setup here. De Sousa takes the reins which is positive and he has drawn ideally in barrier 5 to be able to kick up and hold a soft lead. If he gets the breather he got last start, he is going to be hard to beat.

Exceptional Nice (Happy Valley Race 5 No.2)
This is a solid each-way bet as he enters his first run of the season. This is his first go at Class 4 having run in Class 3 his entire Hong Kong career and the blinkers are coming off which is ideal, as when they were applied last preparation, the horse had four very poor runs with them on. Zac Purton has trialled him in the lead-up to this and will take the ride on race day from a gun barrier, where he should be able to get a beautiful run in transit off a moderate pace. I expect him to be strong over the final furlong, and he is a nice each way price to find out.
