Our Canberra Racing Tips for Mondays Canberra Cup meeting.

Equation (Canberra Race 6 No. 2)
This three-year-old Press Statement colt trained by Annabel Neasham at Warwick Farm has three wins from his four starts. When resuming after a 35 week spell he chased hard to get there late for a 0.54 length win over 1200m at Gosford on 4 February, then he found the front at the 200m and kept going for a 1.3 length win over 1250m a Canterbury Park on 19 February.  He is a nice type and should be able to win the Canberra Guineas.

Each Way

Aussie Nugget (Canberra Race 7 No. 9):
This five-year-old Dansili gelding has had five wins and five places from 20 starts. He ran on strongly out wide to get up on the line for a 0.2 length win over 1600m at Caulfield on 30 January, then lost 4 lengths when he was slowly away and worked home strong with no room late for 1.75 lengths 4th in the Listed Mornington Cup Prelude over 2000m at Caulfield on 20 February. Last start he looked very unlucky and he looks a nice each-way bet in the Canberra Cup.

Impressive Lass (Canberra Race 8 No. 11):
This three-year-old Real Impact filly trained by Clare Cunningham at Warwick Farm is the early favourite in this Class 1 handicap over 1400m. She finished 0.6 lengths 4th over 1200m at Warwick Farm on 10 February, then won a maiden handicap by 1.97 lengths over 1200m at Wyong on 25 February. This is her first try at the distance and she carries more weight and offers no value here.

Best Bet Left Field (Newcastle Race 6 No. 4) Wasn't far away all last prep and looks nicely weighted with the claim. Has form around Lalaguna last prep and looks nicely placed against these and should be hard to beat.  $2.90 l

Our Sandown Hillside Horse Racing Tips for Wednesday’s meeting. Key Comments The rail is out 9 metres. The best bet will enjoy a sharp drop in grade first up and has been very well backed in early markets. Best Bet Ersa (Sandown Hillside Race 5 No. 7) Ersa is well placed here returning from a break and can give this race a shake. She has put in some very commendable efforts to date before finding a group 1 too much at the end of
