Ipswich Cup Race History

The cup has been run since 1866, and crowds of more than 15,000 now attend. The original trophy was bought by local businesses in 2005 and is kept at the Ipswich Art Gallery. Chris Munce won it twice as a jockey and again as a trainer with Smart Meteor in 2022. Kaluakoi won in 2026.
