Semi Final 1 – New Zealand v Pakistan

SCG | 9th November

New Zealand face off against Pakistan in semi-final one of the T20 World Cup.

The Kiwi’s made a strong start to the competition dismantling the Australian’s and only went onto drop one game in the group stage. That was against England.

New Zealand have a lot of power scattered through out their batting order and an experienced bowling attack who have played a lot of cricket with one another.

Pakistan were the only team to scrape through to the semi’s after losing two group games. Their skipper Babar Azam is a quality player but has been down on form this tournament – they will be looking for a big game out of him if they are to win.

I really like New Zealand here. They are just a very reliable outfit and made it through to the final last T20 world cup. Pakistan are very hit and miss and I thought they had the rub of the green against Bangladesh the other night. On another day they could of easily lost that game. That would have been three losses in what was widely considered as the weaker group.

Suggested Bet: 2 units New Zealand (H2H) @ $1.83

Semi Final 2 – India v England

Adelaide Oval | 10th November

A mouth watering clash awaits us in semi final two with the winner of this almost certain to start favourite in the final on Sunday night.

After suffering a shock loss to the Proteas early in the tournament India has flexed their muscle.

They have so much talent and power scattered right through out their batting order and despite Bumrah not being here still possess a world class attack with the ball. I have been particularly impressed with young gun Arshdeep Singh. He hoops the new ball and will pose a big threat to the English top order.

Much of what I have just said about the Indian team could also be said about England which is why this clash is so exciting. They bat extremely deep and have a rock solid bowling attack. Jos Buttler is their main man at the top of the order and a crucial wicket for India.

The key for both sides is going to be to try and take early wickets to force the opposition power hitters to be more conservative through the middle. I think this game is close to a flip of the coin so the value lies with England for me as an outsider.

Suggested Bet: 1.25 units England (H2H) @ $2.01
