Proscenium Arch (Moonee Valley Race 2 No. 7)
Lead and kicked away to win easily on debut at Sandown, then was slow away at Flemington which meant she had to settle back in the field. Still worked home quite nicely, crossing the line locked with Castillian who is her key rival in the betting here. Hoping she can step a touch cleaner from the good gate on Saturday which can allow her to find the top like she did on debut. If she does I think she will give Castillian and the rest of them something to catch with the rail out 5m.

Mankayan (Moonee Valley Race 7 No. 2)
Mankayan has missed the placings just once in his ten Australian starts and has returned super this preparation with two wins and a narrow second from his three runs. Should be rock hard fit now and with little speed on paper I expect Ben Melham to press forward from the good gate and position right up on the pace. Can give a terrific each way sight from there.

Best Lay
Islero (Moonee Valley Race 2 No. 6)
Narrow winner of a Murtoa maiden first up, then was fifth in a benchmark 64 at Sandown. Was a touch unlucky but that looks a much weaker lead up than some of the races his rivals are coming through. Despite the good connections and a better map – $5 looks short enough here.
