This Lope De Vega gelding looks well suited here after his last start win. He finished 1.8 lengths 4th over 1800m at Hawkesbury on 30 April, then won at this track and distance two weeks ago by 7.6 lengths on heavy going. Should race on the speed and is a strong hope.

This five-year-old gelding from the Kim Waugh stable has four wins and six places from his 13 starts. He finished 0.3 length 3rd over 1600m at Randwick on 22 January, then was 2.9 lengths 4th over 1500m at Rosehill om 29 January. Resumes from an 18 week spell and has won both of his first-up runs. Looks a great each-way bet.

This four-year-old Criterion mare trained by Bjorn Baker is the early favourite in this 3&4YO BM 72 Handicap. She resumed from an 18 week spell for 1.4 lengths 3rd over 1200m at Rosehill on 21 May, and has never won second-up so I’m prepared to risk her
