Bambun Boy | (Narrogin Race 5 No.3)
I thought his run last start was full of merit when racing at Ascot on Good Friday. He looked gone at the top of the straight before picking up well and continuing to make headway before finishing 1.5 lengths back in fourth. The extra 100m is going to suit him down to the ground and he gets his regular jockey, Kyra Yuill, back aboard. I think he could want 2000m, so I expect them to camp just off the pace before starting to make their move on the bend.

Having his second preparation of his career, the son of Xtravagant will be looking to start off with a bang, much like he did at this track last preparation. On that day he saluted by over three lengths in an impressive display before failing at Belmont Park (where he was found to have had a poor recovery) and then heading to Ascot, where he ran a one length fifth behind Almaher Man. That race itself has produced three individual winners and a handful of placings. He has had one trial in preparation for this and wasn’t asked to do much until the final 100m or so. Drawn well and looks to lead with ease. Should be hard to beat.

American Queen | (Narrogin Race 2 No.1)
She goes up 6.5kg from her last start run, albeit back majorly in grade. Her run two back was a peak run but it was also on the quick backup meanwhile she comes into this first-up after 110 days. She is giving 2.5kg to our on-top pick Raging Rocket but there are only 2 rating points between them. Price is too short for plenty against her.
