Brosnan (Randwick Race 6 No.11)

A lot of people are talking up his rival from last start Letsrollthedice but I think Brosnan arguably could have won the race had he not come off heels late in the piece. He drew poorly on the day and had to settle near last before making his run. I have no doubt he runs a strong 1400m and his effort first-up at Randwick on a bottomless track was very good, in fact, he finished off as well as the winner but the map ruined him again. He has finally drawn a nice gate and gets a good jockey aboard, who will no doubt put him into a good position, especially with the lack of pace engaged. He also gets the blinkers the first time and the lugging bit the first time, so I am expecting a massive run at a tremendous price.

Chenin (Randwick Race 3 No.9)

I think this girl is flying under the radar a touch despite her recent win at Hawkesbury. She hit the lead late in the piece there and was strong to the line in what was a comfortable victory. The ground and 2000m shouldn’t be an issue as shown by her full brothers Picaro and Shadow Hero. She is drawn well and maps to settle better than midfield off a hot pace. Look for her late when the others start to tire.

Forbidden Love (Randwick Race 9 No.16)

She has had a tremendous preparation and has been good to us along the way, hopefully, she can finish this preparation on a high. The daughter of All Too Hard is looking to win four-in-a-row here, after solid wins in the Guy Walter, Canterbury Stakes, and the George Ryder. Despite drawing barrier 14, there looks to be little pace in this race and she should get into a fantastic position behind likely leader Ellsberg. She will relish the conditions and despite there being a slight query at the mile, she is in no better form to give it a red hot crack. Hopefully, Jamie Kah can tap into what Hugh Bowman has done all preparation and salute this girl as a winner.

A Very Fine Red (Randwick Race 10 No.10)

We had this girl a black booker from her massive first-up run on March 5th. She took on the boys and the likes of Mazu, Mallory, Profiteer, and Zapateo in a race where they were already one run ahead in terms of fitness. She come up the worst part of the track before having to be straightened up, before finishing the race off nicely, finishing within half a length of Mazu. Her draw might be okay by this time of the day and should get into a nice spot in the run. She has had a nice tick over trial, goes up to 1200m, and back to her own sex, I think she is going to run another big race.

Fireburn (Randwick Race 6 No.12)

I have no doubt she is talented and she won well in tough circumstances in the Slipper, but her current price is unders. There is plenty of value around her and there is always a chance she may have run her race in the Slipper and be ready for a spell. You would want a longer price to dive in.
