Review of last weeks golf tips
Backawinners, our special bet last week Whitney Hillier compounded in the last round and unfortunately a blank week. This week is a season wind down with the Hero challenge an invitation event, the South African Open decimated by the anagram of Moronic, Omnicron, so a very quiet betting week.
Laguna Phuket Championship
The Asian tour, now backed by the Saudis is playing the Laguna Phuket Championship on the Paul Jansen designed Laguna Golf Phuket course.
The course is a short 6719 yards (6100m) par 71.
On Bet365 I found
Sam Brazel-$300 each way
Rory Hie-$500 each way
Both previous winners on the Asian tour.
South African Open
The South African Open was to be played with a number of European tour players, but governments have forced them home and the field is basically African residents. The event to be played at the ERPM course, a Dean van Staden designed and built course is 7296 yards par 72 with a course rating of 73.9 and a slope of 139.
I don’t know many of the contestants thus a short number of bet possibilities
On Betfair
Zander Lombard-$40
Thriston Lawrence-$60 dominated last week
Hennie Otto-$350
JBE Kruger-$180
Haydn Porteous-$620
Callum Mowat-$1000
Hero World Challenge
The Hero challenge heads to Bermuda to the Albany Golf course, an Ernie Els design, 7302 yards (6700m) par 72.
Only 20 players and only Scottie Sheffler at $21 appeals.
