This four year old Lonhro mare trained by James Cummings has five wins and seven places from 19 starts. She burst between runners at the 200m and drew away for a 2.25 length win on the Listed Nudgee Quality over 1200m at Eagle Farm on 2 January, then hit the front at the 150m but was grabbed late for a close 2nd in the $1M Magic Millions fillies and mares Gold Coast race over 1300m on 16 January. She resumes here after 15 weeks and has a recent Hawkesbury trial win. Looks the superior mare in this fillies and mares race and should win

Embracer (Hawkesbury Race 6 No. 11):
This five-year-old Sebring gelding trained by Gai Waterhouse & Adrian Bott has five wins and five places from 13 starts. He was ran down late for 1, 0.8 lengths 3rd over 1100m at Rosehill on 27 June, then was winded in the latter stages when 5.5 lengths 10th over 1200m on a heavy track at Rosehill on 11 July, but had the best 800m-400m race sectional. Resumes here from a long 42 week spell, normally runs well fresh and won a recent Randwick trial by 3.8 lengths. Looks a great each-way bet.

Best Lay
Golden Gorge (Hawkesbury Race 3 No. 1):
This four-year-old Mossman gelding trained by Kody Nestor at Dubbo has two wins and four places from 11 starts and is the early favourite in this Highway Class 2 Handicap over 1400m. He peeled the widest approaching the turn and made good ground for 1.73, 0.1 length 3rd over 1000m at Muswellbrook on 9 April, then raced tight but kept coming for 0.76 length 5th over 1200m at Wagga on 18 April. He has a massive 61.5 kg to carry and offers no value.
