Be My Star (Morphettville Parks Race 2 No. 4)
This Zoustar mare has performed well in all 3 starts this campaign. She resumed over 1000m at Morphettville Parks on 25 April where she came from well back in the field and grabbed 2nd, then won the SA Sprint Series Final by a narrow margin over 1100m at Morphettville on 9 May. At her most recent start she took over at the 200m but peaked in the final 100m to finish 2.3 lengths 4th in the Group 3 Proud Miss Stakes over 1200m at Morphettville on 16 May. She only rises 2kg from that, has the inside draw and Todd Pannell rides her again. She will be very hard to beat.

Trained by Kristi Evans at Strathalbyn, this Nicconi gelding has 3 wins and 3 places from 11 starts at this distance. He came from near last and hooked out very wide to run home and win by 0.3 length over 1250m at Morphettville Parks on 25 April, then got well back again and worked home solidly without threatening for 2.4 lengths 6th over 1200m at Morphettville on 16 May. This is an open race and he is worth betting each way at the current price.

La Rapide (Morphettville Parks Race 3 No. 8):
This Will Clarken-trained filly is the early favourite in this three-year-old maiden plate, and has never raced before. There are several runners in the race that have placed at recent starts and she has not trialled. It is hard to see why she is the favourite.
