This gelding goes well at this track with 4 wins and 2 places from 7 starts here and looks well-placed in this Group 3 event. He got well back and didn’t run on when 7.2 lengths 15th in the Group 1 Kingston Town Classic over 1800m at Ascot on 7 December before he was spelled. He resumed for 0.26 lengths 2nd in the Group 3 Roma Cup over 1200m at Ascot on 16 May where he tried hard but couldn’t get past the leader. He is fitter now and gets his chance to return to the winner’s circle.

This grey gelding is a model of consistency with 3 wins and 6 places from 11 starts. At his other two starts he ran 4th. He came from last and was badly held p looking for a split and charged too late to finish 0.2 length 2nd over 1600m at Ascot on 22 April, then fought on for 2.9 lengths 4th over 1800m at Ascot on 9 May. Returning to the shorter trip he should go well and is a great each-way chance.

Cuballing (Belmont Race 1 No. 2):
In this no metro. win race over 1000m the $3.70 seems a very short price for this horse. Last campaign he won by the smallest of margins over 1000m at Ascot on 20 November before spelling. He resumed for 2.8 lengths 5th over 1000m at Ascot where he faded in the last 150m. Other horses in the race have better value.
